Common Questions
Honest answers to the things people ask us most.
Can my employer pay for the training?+
Yes, and it's common. Many participants enroll through their organization's professional development or CE budget. We can invoice your employer directly — just email us once you've picked a training date and we'll set up the billing on our side.
Are payment plans available?+
Not currently. Full payment is required at enrollment so we can confirm your seat. If cost is a barrier, the most common workaround is employer billing (above) or using a state CE budget that reimburses you for approved training.
Do you offer scholarships or discounts?+
We do not currently offer scholarships. Group rates for organizations enrolling multiple staff are handled through our on-site training option — reach out if you have 4+ people interested at once and we'll talk through what makes sense.
Are NAADAC and PCB CE credits accepted in my state?+
In most cases yes — NAADAC (Provider #185919) is recognized across all 50 states by boards that accept national CE provider credentials, and PCB (Pennsylvania Certification Board) approval is widely accepted in addiction and behavioral-health licensure paths. State social work, counseling, and addiction-counselor boards generally accept both NAADAC and PCB credits toward license renewal, but you should always confirm acceptance with your specific state board before enrolling.
What if I can't complete the 90-day supervision?+
The supervision is required for the CFI-Trained credential, but it's flexible: monthly group sessions plus one-on-one consultation as needed. If something comes up (illness, family situation, scheduling conflict), we extend the window. Reach out and we'll work with you — we don't penalize people for life happening.
What's the difference between CFI Intervention, Advanced Practical, and Alternatives?+
CFI Intervention is the 3-day flagship — the entry point. Advanced Practical Training (CFI-APT) is a 2-day intensive where you work a full case start-to-finish, for graduates pursuing CIP certification through PCB. Alternatives to Intervention is a 1-day program for graduates who need a back-up plan when traditional intervention won't work. Both CFI-APT and Alternatives require you to have completed the 3-day CFI Intervention Training first.
What's Supporting Family Systems for?+
It's a shorter (typically 1-day) crash course for clinical staff who encounter addiction in their work — therapists, clinicians, counselors, doctors — but aren't planning to do formal interventions. Larger class size (15-30), no prerequisite, focused on practical family-system skills. Great for treatment-center staff training or hospital clinical-development days.
